Vale vale, pero tengo una pregunta para ti: ¿qué es lo que te hace realmente feliz? Y no me refiero a ir por la vida medio feliz. No. Me refiero a qué te provoca esa sonrisa enorme en tu cara, qué te hace sentir mariposas en el estómago, qué te hace vivir en una nube, qué te hace levantarte cada mañana con ganas de comerte el mundo, qué hace que nunca pierdas la toalla, que nunca te rindas. Eso, sea una persona, un animal, una cosa, un momento… es lo que tienes que perseguir y visualizar a diario Marta.

Esta pregunta me la hago muchos días cuando me levanto en un ‘mood’ menos ‘happy’ de lo normal. Y a mí me funciona. Ayer mismo me la recordaba uno de mis mejores amigos al que tantas veces se la he repetido yo.

A mí me hace feliz estar con mi familia; no hace falta que estemos hablando todo el rato, simplemente estar a su lado. Me hace feliz salir con mis amigos, hacer el tonto con ellos, cantar, gritar, no tener vergüenza de nada. Me hace inmensamente feliz ver el atardecer tirada en una playa con los pies descalzos, simplemente observando el sol esconderse y las olas ir y venir. Dar las gracias por un día más disfrutando de esta vida. Me hace feliz ver felices a otros, sobre todo a gente que se lo merece, y me da ‘envidia sana’ ver cómo millones de personas en el mundo son felices con muy poco. Me hace feliz estos días pasear por el pier de Santa Monica y de Venice Beach, mis lugares favoritos de LA. Me hace feliz disfrutar de mí misma, sola, que no tiene nada que ver con que me guste la soledad; es ser inteligente emocionalmente y aprender a vivir feliz y bien primero con uno mismo antes de dejar entrar a nadie más. Me hace feliz mi trabajo; es más, me encanta mi trabajo aunque trabaje 24/7 pero doy gracias por poder trabajar en lo que más me gusta del mundo y por teneros a todos vosotros a mi lado. Me hace feliz ver a dos personas que se quieren, sean del sexo que sean, sin amor no podría vivir, no podría ser yo del todo.

Os dejo con este ¡popurrí’ de fotos de mis primeros días en LA chicos. Y os invito a que os hagáis esta pregunta a vosotros mismos sobre todo los días que estés más ‘de bajón’ porque es una buena forma de saber lo que os hace felices en la vida y de perseguir vuestros sueños.

Okay, okay, but I have a question for you: what really makes you happy? And I don’t mean being half happy. No. I mean what causes you that huge smile on your face, what makes you feel butterflies in the stomach, what makes you live in a cloud, what makes you wake up every morning wanting to do your best and show it to the world, what makes you never give up. That, a person, an animal, a thing, a moment,… is what you have to focus on and visualize every day Marta.

I use to ask this question to myself many days when I get up in a mood less happy than normal. And it works for me. Yesterday it remembered me one of my best friends whom I have repeated it so many times.

It makes me happy to be with my family; we do not have to be talking all the time, just being there together. It makes me happy to go out with my friends, play, dance, sing, scream, and go crazy with them, not being ashamed of anything. It makes me immensely happy to see the sunset lying on a beach bare feet, just watching the sun going down and the waves come and go. I’m thankful for one more day enjoying this life. It makes me happy to see others happy, especially people who deserve it, and it gives me ‘healthy envy’ to see how millions of people in the world are happy with very little. It makes me happy these days to stroll along the pier of Santa Monica and Venice Beach, my favorite places in LA. It makes me happy to enjoy myself, alone, that has nothing to do with solitude; it is just to be emotionally intelligent and learn to live happily and well first with oneself before letting anyone else in. It makes me so happy my job, I don’t care if I have to work 24/7 but I’m thankful for working on what I like the most in the world and for having you all by my side. It makes me happy to see two people loving each other, whatever sex they are, without love I could not live, I could not be me at all.

I leave you now with this mix of photos of my first days in LA guys. And I invite you to ask this question to yourselves especially on the days that you are more down because it is a good way to know what makes you happy in life and to pursue your dreams.

Hello Summer!

21 de Junio de 2017. Comienza oficialmente ¡el verano!

Quizá en otra situación me alegraría más, pero en Madrid hemos llegado hoy a los 44 grados según las marquesinas de los autobuses y trabajar con este calor infernal la verdad es que no es mi plan favorito… hahaha.

Os quiero enseñar hoy dos de los bikinis que más me gustan de esta temporada ya que son justamente las dos tendencias que están más de moda: el terciopelo y el ganchillo.

El terciopelo me gusta mucho en mis prendas de invierno y me encanta que se haya adaptado al verano con bikinis como este. Tengo otro más clarito de Topshop y este es en azul marino. Por otra parte el ganchillo sigue en plena tendencia desde hace varios años y este top me encantó porque me lo puedo poner también para salir a la calle con unos shorts, boyfriend jeans o una mini falda. Combina con casi todo.

Y sí… me he hecho un tratamiento de cejas que dentro de poco os contaré con más detalle en un nuevo vídeo de mi canal. Es un tratamiento permanente que dura alrededor de un año. Me lo ha hecho mi querida Anabel y ya os contaré y enseñaré el resultado final que se verá en 2/3 semanas.

También estoy poniéndome en forma y preparándome para la operación bikini con mi amiga Carla y sus tratamientos de radiofrecuencia para eliminar grasa del culete y cartucheras, me he hecho solo una sesión y la verdad es que los resultados son impresionantes.

June 21st, 2017. Summer officially begins!

Maybe in another situation I would be more happy, but in Madrid we have reached today 44 degrees according to the weather information panels, s working with this infernal heat the truth is that it is not my favorite plan… hahaha.

I want to show you today two of my favourite bikinis for this new season as they are just the two top trends hitting hard: velvet and crochet.

I like velvet so much for my winter clothes, you already know it, and I love how they have adapted it to the summer clothes with bikinis like this one. I have another one lighter from Topshop and this one is in navy blue. On the other hand the crochet has been in full trend since some years ago and this top I love it because I can also wear it to go out with a pair of shorts, some boyfriend jeans or a mini skirt. It matches with almost everything.

And yes… I have done an eyebrow treatment that I will tell you with more details in a new video on my tv channel. It is a permanent treatment lasting about a year. My dear Anabel has done it to me and I will tell you more information and will show you the final result, which will be seen in 2/3 weeks.

I’m also getting fit and preparing for the bikini operation with my friend Carla and her radiofrequency treatments to remove fat from the ass and legs, I’ve only done one session and the truth is that I can already see the amazing results.

Las letras de Hollywood. Uno de los lugares más visitados en Los Angeles por miles de turistas de todo el mundo. Y yo siempre que voy me siento como una más.

Evidentemente no fui así vestida para una localización como esta… El caso es que nos dirigíamos a ver el concierto del hermano de una amiga y pasamos por una de las calles donde mejor se ven las letras. Paramos a hacer un par de fotos y estando tan cerca de éstas decidimos subir rápidamente con el coche aprovechando el día tan espectacular que hacía.

La verdad es que al seguir enseñándoos estas fotos y escribiendo estos posts de LA reconozco que me entra un poco la nostalgia. Echo de menos a mis amigos que viven allí, mi vida americana, mi libertad total que tanto necesito para ser feliz. Pero lo bueno de la vida es alejarte de vez en cuando de las cosas que más quieres y deseas para así valorarlas más y saber la suerte que realmente tienes.

Y digo yo, cambiando de tema, ¡qué bien sienta estar feliz de la vida! ¿o no? Yo me levanto y me acuesto cada día dando las gracias por todo lo que tengo, pero también es cierto que cuando conoces a una persona más especial en el ámbito sentimental, eso te hace estar como a otro nivel de felicidad, como en un mundo aparte. No me refiero en concreto a una persona que podamos definir como “novio o novia” o “pareja” sino a alguien que sabes que te va a acompañar en tu camino, al que le puedes contar todo sea lo que sea, que pase lo que pase sabes que estará contigo en lo bueno y en lo malo, igual que tú con él. Qué bonito es este tipo de amor.

Pues eso, ¡que nos amemos mucho mucho todos!

Hollywood sign. One of the most daily visited places in Los Angeles by thousands of tourists from all around the world. And whenever I go I feel like one more.

Obviously I was not dressed like this for taking pictures in this location… but the fact is that we were going to attend a friend’s concert and we went through one of the streets where you can see the letters behind. A road with palm trees in both sides, pretty cool. Of course we stopped to take some photos and being so close to the big letters we decided to climb quickly with the car taking advantage of the amazing sunny day.

The truth is that watch at all these photos and writing these posts from LA I recognize that I’m a little bit nostalgic. I miss my friends who live there, my American life, my total freedom that I need so much to be happy. But we should learn in our life that sometimes it is very necessary to get away from time to time of the things that you most love and want in order to value them more and know how luck you really are.

And changing the subject, how good it feels to be happy in life! or not? I get up and go to bed every day thanking God for everything I have, but it’s also true that when you meet a more special person in the sentimental way, that makes you feel like in another level of happiness, as in another world, true story. I am not talking about a person that we can define as “boyfriend or girlfriend” or as our “couple” but someone who you know that he will accompany you on your way, to whom you can tell everything, whatever it is, whatever happens to you. Someone you know that he will be by your side in the good and in the bad, just like you with him. How beautiful is this kind of love.

So let’s love each other sooo much!

Romantic

‘Romantic’. Pues sí, me definiría como una persona romántica, soñadora, alegre, divertida. También enamorada de la vida, de la gente que conozco, de mi familia, de mis amigos… enamorada de casi todo lo bonito y bello que me rodea. Soy una enamorada de la vida, de mi vida.

Los canales de Venice Beach. Esta es otra de mis zonas favoritas de Los Angeles para ir a hacer fotos por varios motivos. No suele estar muy transitada ni llena de turistas. Los canales siempre son un lugar bonito para hacer fotos y además las casitas de alrededor y los puentes que unen unas con otras parecen sacados de un cuento. Por eso me gusta siempre hacer algunos de mis shootings por aquí por la paz que se respira por estas calles y embarcaderos. En estas fotos salgo también con mi amiga Maja que muchos ya conocéis.

Hoy os quiero hablar de la importancia de cuidar nuestra piel, más concretamente la de la cara que es nuestra “carta de presentación” cuando conocemos a cualquier persona. Ya llevo varios meses usando a diario este serum de vitamina C de Sesderma por el que me habéis preguntado muchos y no puedo estar más contenta con los resultados. Las vitaminas no sólo se las debemos aportar a nuestro cuerpo con los alimentos sino también con productos de alta calidad que se adapten a nuestro tipo de piel. Este en concreto me va muy bien para mi tipo de piel porque me aporta la hidratación que necesito y me ayuda a prevenir las primeras arrugas pero sin dar grasa a mi cara.

Y este es mi look favorito porque soy adicta a las rayas ya lo sabéis, pero esta es la primera camiseta que tengo con rayas rojas. La combiné con shorts vaqueros y mis botines burdeos y el detalle que más me gustó fue la etiqueta de detrás donde se lee ‘romantic’. Enamorémonos a diario de la vida, de lo que nos rodea y de los que nos rodean.

‘Romantic’. Ok yes, I would define myself as a romantic, dreamy, cheerful, fun person. Also in love with life, with the people I know every day, with my family, with my friends… I’m in love with almost everything beautiful and nice that surrounds me. I’m in love with life, with my life.

The canals of Venice Beach. This is another of my favourite spots in Los Angeles to go to take pictures for many reasons. It is not very busy or full of tourists. The canals are always a nice place to take pictures because they look so cool and also the houses around and the bridges that connect them seem from a story. That’s why I always like to do some of my shootings around here in these calm streets and lovely small piers. I’m with my friend Maja in some pics who is also living here too. 

Today I want to talk to you about the importance of taking care of our skin, more specifically the face that is our “cover letter” when we meet anyone. I have been using this Sesderma Vitamin C serum for the last few months (you have asked me many questions about this product) and I can not be happier with the results. Vitamins not only must be supplied to our body with food but also with high quality products that fit our skin type. This in particular goes very well for my skin type because it gives me the hydration I need and helps me to prevent the first wrinkles but without giving leaving an oily skin. Coachella, day 3

¡Tercer día en Coachella!

Este día fue de los más importantes y divertidos de esta edición del festival. Era el sábado y tocaban los mejores grupos, incluida Lady Gaga que ocupó el que era el puesto de Beyoncé. Además tuvimos varias fiestas muy chulas por el día como la pool party de Revolve (fotos más abajo) a la que asistieron importantes celebrities como Leonardo DiCaprio o Alessandra Ambrosio.

Por la mañana me acerqué al hotel donde se encontraba el equipo de GHD para que me hiciesen este peinado. No quería hacerme algo que luego no me gustase, porque tenía que hacer muchas fotos y vídeos este día, por eso opté por mis ondas de siempre, muy naturales, con trenza lateral a la izquierda y luego en la derecha pequeñas trencitas. Me encantaron los charms de plumas plateadas que me pusieron en la trenza grande.

Este fue uno de mis looks favoritos porque me estoy aficionando a eso de llevar bodies con shorts. Me encantó este body en cuanto lo vi por el encaje, los lazos en los laterales, la espalda tan bonita y sexy y además por el color tan veraniego. Me encanta también el detalle de la pegatina de joyas en la frente con colores a juego con mi look.

¡Y menudo calor que pasamos haciendo estas fotos al lado de la avenida principal de Palm Springs! Perfectamente podía hacer más de 40 grados en esta carretera en pleno desierto y el asfalto quemaba bastante… pero bueno, el resultado me gustó y eso es lo importante. Una vez más os cuento que lo que más me gusta de vivir aquí es que puedo hacer fotos originales y muy diferentes en prácticamente cada esquina.

Third day of Coachella!

This day was one of the most important and funny days of this music festival. It was the Saturday and they played the best bands, including Lady Gaga who occupied the position of Beyoncé (which is super pregnant and couldn’t finally did it). We also had some cool parties during the day like Revolve’s pool party (photos below) where also came international celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio or Alessandra Ambrosio.

In the morning I went to the hotel where the GHD team was based to do this hairstyle. I did not want to do something that I did not like at all, because I had to do a lot of photos and videos this day. That’s why I opted for my usual waves, very natural, with a lateral braid on the left side and then on the right side small braids. I loved the charms of silver feathers that they put on the big braid.

This was one of my favorite looks because I’m loving wearing bodies with shorts. I loved this body as soon as I saw it for the lace, the ties on the sides, the beautiful and sexy back and also for the summer color. I also love the detail of the jewelry sticker on my face matching the colors of my outfit.

And while doing these pics we almost melt with this road in front of the main street of Palm Springs! How hot! It could perfectly be more than 40 degrees on this road in the middle of the desert and the asphalt burned so much… but I liked so much the results so that’s what’s important to me. Once again I tell you that what I like most about living here in California is that I can make original and very different photos in practically every corner.

Sri Lanka, IV

Tengo que reconocer, y seguro que vosotros también, que mi época favorita del año es el verano (o incluso primavera) porque ya empezamos a coger color y la ropa sienta mucho mejor. ¿O no?

Hay colores, como el blanco, que intentamos evitarlos siempre en invierno porque nos apagan aún más, un poco más y parecemos un fantasma. Pero en cuanto empiezo a coger color la verdad es que se convierte en uno de mis colores favoritos.

Este es el look que escogí para celebrar la cena de mi cumpleaños en Sri Lanka. Y sí, lo celebré dos veces, en Maldivas y aquí. Porque exactamente el día de mi cumple lo pasamos volando de un país a otro así que lo celebramos la noche anterior en las islas paradisíacas y la noche siguiente aquí. Es un mono que lleva dos partes combinadas, un top con vuelo y unos shorts. Escogí detalles en marrón como el bolso o los mules de leopardo porque me parecieron la mejor opción dada la localización.

Lo que menos me gustó de este viaje es que en estos meses del año anochece bastante pronto. Sobre las 17h ya es prácticamente de noche, por lo tanto teníamos que hacer las fotos rápido porque sino nos quedábamos sin luz.

Mi amiga Sylvia ya ha vuelto a España hoy aunque dentro de poco tenemos otro viaje juntas que ya os contaremos y yo me he quedado por aquí trabajando en varios proyectos que os contaré y enseñaré dentro de poco. Mañana grabaré un vídeo de belleza para un canal de Youtube. ¡No os perdáis mis Stories!

I do admit it, and I’m pretty sure that you too, that my favourite season of the year is Summer time (or even Spring) because we start to get tanned skin and clothes suit us so much better. Don’t you think so?

There are colors, like white, that we try to avoid always in Winter because they turn us off even more, a little more and we look like a ghost, lol. But as soon as I start to be tanned a little bit the truth is that it becomes one of my favourite colors when dressing.

This is the look I chose to celebrate my birthday in Sri Lanka. And yes, I celebrated it twice, in the Maldives and here. Because exactly the day of my birthday we spent it flying from one country to another so we celebrated it the night before in the paradisiac islands and the following night here. I chose this playsuit that has two parts combined, a top and shorts. I chose details in brown like these leopard mules and my favourite sude bag, they seemed to me the best option according to the location.

What I didn’t like about this trip is that in these months of the year night falls fairly soon. Around 5pm is almost night, therefore we had to take photos fast because if not we would miss the good light.

My friend Sylvia has already come back to Spain today although soon we have another trip together that we will tell you. I have stayed here in LA working on some interesting projects that I will tell you and show you soon. Tomorrow I will film a new beauty video for a Youtube channel. Do not miss my Stories!

West Hollywood

¡VIERNES!

He conseguido superar esta súper semana, no se cómo, pero por fin llegó el viernes.

Ayer fue un día bastante largo de trabajo, pero me lo pasé genial y cerré proyectos que estoy deseando contaros. Por la mañana tuvimos 3 reuniones para acciones que pronto veréis. Después entrevisté al grupo Taburete para mi canal de Youtube, que es por lo que más me estáis preguntando todos. El domingo estará la entrevista completa en mi canal MARTACARRIEDO.TV . ¡Os va a encantar! Después les entrevisté también para Non Stop People, en mi sección de la vida de un influencer. Por último fui a la presentación del nuevo disco de Sara Serena, “Skyline”, que menuda voz que tiene con sólo 18 años.

Así que después de una semana así hoy he decidido tomarme un día de “descanso” y aunque trabajaré por la tarde ahora me voy a ir a hacerme la manicura y pedicura como siempre en My Little Momo, donde mejor me cuidan, para llevarla perfecta para la Fashion Week de París la semana que viene. Después tengo cita por fin en Sam See, el centro donde voy siempre a darme masajes para recuperarme del estrés diario, y estoy deseando llegar y que me “arreglen” la espalda. ¡Qué gusto!

Y me despido con otro de mis looks y fotos de mi barrio en Los Angeles: West Hollywood, más conocido coloquialmente como “We Ho” (por aquello de abreviar las palabras). Es una zona muy tranquila y segura como ya os he comentado en otras ocasiones donde podéis ver que las casas son ideales con pequeños porches y luego jardines traseros. Me encantan las casas pintadas de varios colores, los columpios en el porche, los coches antiguos…

Llevo jeans estilo boyfriend con camisa de rayas y volantes que me voy a poner bastante, es muy de mi estilo. Sandalias, que allí las temperaturas ya lo permiten, y mi bolso multicolor a juego.

FRIDAY!

I can’t believe I finally managed to overcome this super long week for me, but finally it is here, Friyay!

Yesterday was a pretty long day of work, but I had a great time and signed projects that I’m looking forward to tell you and show you. In the morning we had 3 meetings for actions that you will soon discover. Then I interviewed the music group “Taburete” for my Youtube channel, which is why most you are asking me about. On Sunday afternoon you will have the complete interview on my TV channel MARTACARRIEDO.TV. You’ll love it! Then I also interviewed them for Non Stop People tv channel, in my section of an influencer’s lifestyle. Finally I went to the presentation of Sara Serena’s new album, “Skyline”, which has a fab voice with only 18 years old.

So after a week like this today I decided to take a day of “rest” and although I will work in the afternoon now I’m going to go to do my manicure and pedicure as always at My Little Momo, where they better take care of me, to have it perfect for The Fashion Week in Paris next week. Then I finally have a date at Sam See, the center where I always go to have the best massages to recover from the daily stress, and I’m looking forward to getting my back “fixed”. What a pleasure!

And here you have another of my looks and photos of my neighborhood in Los Angeles: West Hollywood, better known as “We Ho” (to shorten the words). It is a very quiet and safe area as I have told you in other occasions where you can see that lovely the houses with small porches and also back gardens. I love painted houses in different colors, swings at the entrance, old cars…

I wear boyfriend style jeans with a striped shirt that I’m going to wear a lot because it’s very much my style. Sandals, because there in LA the temperatures already allow it, and my matching multicolored bag.

Cool with sneakers

Cómo me gusta poder ir en zapatillas todo el día y a cualquier parte… es algo que os he comentado varias veces y que me encanta poder hacer aquí en California.

Día a día sigo aumentando mi colección de sneakers y no, no me las regalan, la mayoría de ellas me las compro yo porque son modelos de edición limitada que se agotan rápido. Me habéis preguntado mucho por mis nuevas Stan Smith con belcro y de topos. Las compré aquí en Los Angeles en la propia tienda de Adidas, pero no se si estarán disponibles en Europa…

Por cierto, estamos agotados porque el avión de vuelta de San Francisco a LA se ha retrasado más de una hora, luego más tiempo de espera en el aeropuerto para recoger las maletas, tráfico para llegar a casa… así que son la 1:30h de la noche ahora mismo y aquí estoy escribiendo el post de hoy… eso sí, cansada pero muy contenta como siempre de compartir con todo vosotros.

Quiero daros las gracias de nuevo a los que me habéis escrito por aquí y por las demás redes sociales en relación a mi post de ayer. Como os he contestado a algunos mi objetivo inicial nunca fue crear un blog de moda para enseñaros looks y cómo combino yo la ropa, porque de esos hay miles y seguramente muchas chicas lo hacen mejor que yo. Mi objetivo era, es y será, intentar transmitiros mi forma de ver la vida en general, no sólo la moda, y que entre todos podamos ayudar y aportar nuestro granito de arena para que este mundo sea mejor. Intentar que cada vez seamos mejores personas nos pase lo que nos pase. No dejar que lo malo nos afecte tanto y mucho menos que nos cambie sino aprender de ello y seguir adelanta. Porque de todo se sale y todo se supera (menos la muerte, añadiría mi querida madre). Dicen que gota a gota se hace el río… pues este es nuestro pequeño río y oye, va creciendo poco a poco cada día.

Después del “sermón” del día, haha, quiero terminar diciéndoos que me encanta poder combinar mis zapatillas con mis looks diarios pero mucho más innovar con ropa más arreglada, cosa que hace unos años nos parecía impensable. ¿Una falda de lentejuelas con deportivas? Imposible. Sin embargo ahora pienso que con un top lencero negro o con una camiseta básica y un jersey oversize por encima no queda nada mal, ¿no?

¡Ánimo con el Miércoles chicos, mitad de semana ya!

I do like being able to wear my sneakers all day and anywhere here… is something that I have told you many times and that I really love to do here in California.

Day by day I keep increasing my collection of sneakers and no, I do not have them all for free, most of them I buy them myself because they are special models of limited edition that are very difficult to find later. You asked me a lot about my new Stan Smith polka dots. I bought them here in Los Angeles in the Adidas official store, but I do not know if they will be available in Europe yet…

By the way, we’re super tired because the plane back from San Francisco to LA has been delayed for over an hour, then more time waiting at the airport to pick up our luggage, traffic jam again to arrive home… so here it is 1: 30am at night right now and here I am writing today’s post… but yes, I’m tired but so happy as always to share everything with all of you.

I want to thank you again to those off you who have written me here and by other social networks about yesterday’s post. As I have answered some of you my initial goal was never to create a fashion blog to show you looks and how I combine clothes, because actually there are thousands of fashion blogs and surely many girls do it better than me. My goal was, is and will be, to try to transmit my way of seeing life in general, not just fashion, and that we can all help and contribute to make this world a little bit better. Try to be better persons whatever happen to us. Do not let the bad things affect us so much and of course never change for that reason, always try to learn from it and move on. Because everything comes out in the end and everything is overcome (except death, my dear mother would add). They say that the river is made drop by drop… so this is our little river and hey, it is growing up little by little every day, thank you guys! 

After my “speech of the day”, haha, I want to end this post telling you that I love to combine my sneakers with my daily looks but so much more I like to innovate with more tidy or elegant clothes, something that seemed unthinkable a few years ago. A sequined skirt with sneakers? Impossible. However now I think that with a black lace top or a basic t-shirt and an oversize jersey is not bad at all, don’t you think so?
