LA diary: Beverly Hilton

¡Buenos días de Lunes familia!

Sigo por territorio americano y la verdad es que se me está pasando el tiempo volando… y más con Maja y Carlos que no paramos de hacer cosas.

Este es otro de los hoteles en los que estuve en la zona de Beberly Hills, el hotel Hilton, y seguro que os resultan familiares estas fotos porque ha salido en mil películas. Me encanta la gran piscina que tiene y la combinación de la decoración en blanco y negro, por eso opté por ponerme un look a juego. Me pasé horas sentada en esos sofás trabajando y leyendo con mi hermana. Además está muy bien ubicado y muy cerca de localizaciones importantes que son de obligatoria visita.

Lo que suele pasar aquí es que los días se levantan medio nublados pero poco a poco el sol va saliendo por lo que por la mañana se puede ir con una chaquetita pero sobre las 12 ya hace bastante calor y es mejor ir con manga corta.

Sobre las 6:30-7 de la mañana ya todo el mundo está en pie y luego se van a dormir antes… y aunque me ha costado adaptarme a este gran cambio horario (ya sabéis que yo en Madrid no me meto en la cama antes de la 1 de la noche nunca), al final estoy consiguiendo descansar mejor así que voy a intentar mantenerlo cuando vuelva… que ya sabemos que “a quien madruga, Dios le ayuda”, hehe.

Y me voy despidiendo ya de vosotros hasta mañana porque hoy y mañana tengo varias reuniones y shootings que os iré contando como siempre en mi Stories antes de viajar a Palm Spring el miércoles.

Good morning family!

I’m still living my American dream and the truth is that time flies… and more with Maja and Carlos because we do not stop doing things.

This is another of the hotels that I was collaborating with in the area of Beverly Hills, the Hilton, and I am pretty sure that some of pics are familiar to you because it has appear in a thousand movies. I love the huge pool they have and the combination of black and white of the decoration, so I decided to get a look matching it. I have spent hours sitting in these comfy sofas working and reading with my sister. It is also very well located and close to many must visit important locations.

What usually happens here is that the days start cloudy but gradually the sun comes out so in the morning you can go with a jacket but about 12h it’s already hot and it is better to go with short sleeves.

Around 6:30-7h am everyone weak up here and then they go to sleep earlier than in Europe… and I’m slowly trying to adapt myself to this schedule (you know I never go to bed in Madrid before 1am at night), because in the end I think it is better to rest more and to do more things then during the day… because we all know that “God helps those who rise early”, hehe.

And I say goodbye to you for today because I’m going now and tomorrow morning to some important meetings and shootings that I’ll show you as always on my Stories before traveling to Palm Springs on Wednesday. Can’t wait to discover that area!

LA diary: Hollywood

¡Hollywood baby!

O como diría mi amigo Borja, ¡ha nacido una estrella! ¡O dos! hahaha.

Por fin conseguimos mi hermana y yo subir al observatorio de Griffith y caminar una hora hasta una de las montañas desde donde se divisaba el famoso cartel con las letras gigantes de Hollywood. Tengo que reconocer que nos quedamos un poco sorprendidas porque me esperaba que las letras fuesen más grandes… pero bueno, es algo que sí es obligatorio visitar en Los Ángeles y hay que tener la foto con este mítico cartel.

Sólo el trayecto de subida oscila entre 40$ y 70$ según desde donde se coja el taxi, pero como os he dicho en otros posts os recomiendo aquí en Estados Unidos usar Uber o Lyft que es mucho más barato y rápido que un taxi. Además tienen mejores prestaciones y los conductores suelen ser más simpáticos. Yo lo uso siempre, también en París, Londres, NY… porque es un método más seguro y cómodo ya que se pide y se paga a través del móvil y luego te bajas del coche sin tener que pagar nada.

Y ya sabréis algunos de vosotros que ya está aquí mi amigo Carlos por fin así que estamos los 3 juntos en la casa de Santa Mónica. Esto si que va a ser divertido… ¡a ver qué aventuras nos esperan estos días! Estaremos unos días más todavía por aquí y luego tenemos viajes de 3 o 4 días a otras zonas. Os iré contando todo a través de mis redes sociales como siempre.

Hoy nos vamos en el barco de mi amigo Tarek a comer y ver la puesta de sol y con su perrito Enzo que ya habréis visto en mis vídeos y fotos. ¡Qué ganas!

HOLLYWOOD baby!

Or as my friend Borja would say, a new Star has born! Or two! hahaha.

At the end my sister and me got to the top of Griffith Observatory and walked for more than an hour to one of the mountains from where you could see the famous Hollywood giant letters. I have to admit that we were a little bit surprised because I expected that the letters were bigger… but yes, this is a must visit place for sure in Los Angeles and you need to have the photo with this mythical letters.

The taxi until the top is between $40 and $70 depending on where the taxi pick you up, but as I said in other posts I recommend you here in the United States to use Uber or Lyft which is so much cheaper and faster than a taxi. They also have better conditions and drivers use to be more kind and friendly. I use it always, also in Paris, London, NY… because it is a more secure and advantage method as you paid through your mobile and then you get off the car without having to pay anything.

You probably know that my friend Carlos finally arrived here to LA so we are the 3 of us together now in the house in Santa Monica. This is going to be super fun… can’t wait for my next adventures with them these days! We will be a few more days here before other trips of 3 or 4 days to other areas. I’ll tell you all through my social networks as I always do.

And today we are going at my friend Tarek’s boat to have lunch there and to enjoy the amazing sunset. Of course his little dog Enzo is coming too, you have already seen him on my videos and photos. Can’t wait!

¡Os presento mi vecindario familia!

Como bien sabéis la primera semana de mi vida en Los Ángeles la pasé entre el Hotel Four Seasons y el Hotel Beverly Hilton pero al final eso de andar cambiándome de hotel cada 4 o 5 días con todas mis maletas no es lo que más me apetecía…

Así que por fin estoy en la casita que habéis visto en mis vídeos, en Santa Mónica, despertándome cada mañana con estas impresionantes vistas al mar. ¿Qué más puedo pedir?

Un día mas me veo en la necesidad de dar las gracias por todo lo que tengo. En primer lugar como siempre a Dios por estar conmigo siempre, por no dejar que me rindiese nunca y por darme las fuerzas que muchas veces me faltan. También doy gracias por todo el apoyo diario e incondicional de mi familia y amigos que me siguen y apuestan por mí hasta el fin del mundo, tengo pocos pero los que tengo se que son buenos y para toda la vida. Y por último y no por ello menos importante, gracias a todos vosotros, mi familia virtual, porque en realidad sois los más importantes y sin vuestros mensajes y apoyo diarios no estaría donde estoy ni muchos menos me levantaría con estas fuerzas, alegría y energía de querer superarme cada día.

No me enrollo más hoy porque acabamos de llegar a casa Maja y yo de la fiesta de Revolve con Alessandra Ambrosio y estamos agotadas. Echad un vistazo a la web para descubrir su nueva colección porque es muy casual y juvenil, y ella es encantadora y aún mucho más guapa en persona. ¡Me encanta!

So this is my american neighborhood family!

As you already know I spent my first week of my LA life between the Four Seasons Hotel and the Beverly Hilton Hotel but in the end being changing the hotel every 4 or 5 days with all my luggage is not my best plan…

So I’m finally in the house that you have probably seen on my videos, in Santa Monica, waking every morning with these stunning sea views. What else I can ask for?

One more day I feel the need to give thanks for all that I have. First of all as always to God for being by my side, for not letting me give up and for giving me the forces that often I haven’t had. Also thank you for all the daily and unconditional support of my family and close friends who follow me and support me till the end of the world, I know they are only a few but I also know that they all are good ones. And last but not least, thanks to all of you, my virtual family, because the truth is that you are the most important part of all this, of my dream, and without your messages and daily support I would not be where I am right now or I wouldn’t wake up every morning with these forces, happiness and energy to do it better every day.

I can not say anymore today because we just got home Maja and me from Revolve’s party with Alessandra Ambrosio and we are really tired. Take a look at the website to discover her new collection because it is very casual and youthful, I guess you will love it as much as me, and she is a lovely and even more beautiful woman in person. Love her!

Beverly Hills.

Otra de las zonas de obligatoria visita y quizá de las que mejor representa el sueño americano.

Es como una mini-ciudad muy grande con casa y “casoplones” de colores de lo más americanos, de esos que siempre hemos visto en las pelis. Es una de las ciudades más conocidas ya que es famosa por las grandes mansiones que se ven por todas partes de los ricos y famosos, principalmente de grandes estrellas del cine y de la música.

Tuvimos la suerte de poder alojarnos unos días en esta zona en el hotel Four Seasons que es el que veis en las fotos. Simplemente nos encantó. Levantarnos cada mañana con estas vistas a las mejores casas y a la montaña, y además disponer de un servicio tan bueno y de tan alta calidad como el de este hotel, es algo que no tiene precio cuando uno viaja, al menos para mí.

Y aunque queda fatal que enseñe tanto las piernas porque todavía se me ven los moratones y heridas de la caída que tuve en París, aquí está haciendo tanto calor que no quiero perder la oportunidad de enseñaros más vestiditos ya que se que no lo voy a poder hacer en Madrid debido al mal tiempo que está haciendo.

Hoy llevo un vestido negro o LBD con hombros descubiertos y lacitos en las mangas y mis slingback a juego con el bolso negro de cadena dorada. Las fotos las hicimos en varios de los salones, terrazas y jardines del espectacular hotel.

Mañana más y mejor.

Beverly Hills.

Another area must visited and perhaps that best represents the American dream.

It’s like a mini-city with many colourful houses and “huge houses” like those who all of us have always seen in the movies. It is one of the best known cities as it is famous for the great mansions that you can see everywhere of rich and famous people, mainly important actors and actresses and music stars.

We were lucky enough to stay a few days in this area at the Four Seasons hotel which is the one that you have already seen on my pictures. We just loved it. To get up every morning with these views to the best houses and to the mountain, and also have such a good service and high quality in this hotel is something that is priceless when you travel, at least for me.

And although it is very bad looking to show you my wounds because of my last “felt down the stairs” that I had in Paris, here it is such a good weather that I do not want to lose the opportunity to show you more dresses because I know I will not be able to do it in Madrid due to the bad weather there.

Today I’m wearing a black dress or LBD without shoulders and tied bows on the sleeves and matching my color block slingback with my black bag with gold chain. We took the photos in some of the living rooms, terraces and gardens of this spectacular hotel.

Tomorrow more and better.

LA diary: downtown

Los Ángeles, Downtown.

El centro de LA es otro de los lugares de obligatoria visita aunque es cierto que no es tan bonito.

Lo que se puede visitar son edificios o lugares emblemáticos como el estadio de los Lakers, con estatuas de varios de los deportistas más conocidos del mundo a la entrada, China Town que está muy cerca y Little Tokyo, pero estas zonas son las mismas que en todas las ciudades.

Y después… ¡mi primer partido de baseball de mi vida! Y el de mi hermana. No puedo estar más contenta de haber podido asistir por fin a un estadio de baseball, en este caso al de los Dodgers y sobre todo en un partido de los playoff contra el equipo de Washington. La canción de “let’s go Dodgers!!” no se va de mi cabeza hahaha ¡y además ganaron!

La gente que estamos conociendo es muy simpática y nos están tratando genial y algo que me encanta de Los Ángeles es que casi todo el mundo habla español, o al menos lo entienden, eso te hace no sentirte tan lejos de casa.

Aunque el Otoño y el Invierno aquí no son tan fríos con en España o Europa, hay días que hace un poco más de fresco, pero con una sudadera y una chaqueta o cazadora todo solucionado.

Como algunos ya sabréis ya está por aquí mi amiga Maja conmigo así que la veréis en mis fotos y vídeos las próximas semanas. Esto es lo que más me gusta de mi vida, viajar y encontrarme a mis amigos por el mundo, al final son la familia que elegimos.

Los Angeles, Downtown.

Downtown LA is another must visit place though I do admit that is not as nice as other places.

What you can find here are office buildings or emblematic constructions such as the Lakers Stadium at Staples Center with the statues of some of the world’s best known athletes at the front. Very close is also China Town and Little Tokyo, but these areas are the same as in all the cities.

And then… my very first baseball match of my life! And my sister’s too. I can not be happier to finally being able to attend a baseball match, in this case the Dodgers stadium and especially in a playoff game against Washington team. The song “let’s go Dodgers !!” it’s still running through my head hahaha, and they won!

People here is being very nice with us and one of the things that we like most about Los Angeles is that almost everyone speaks Spanish, or at least they understand it, and this makes you feel not so far away from home.

Although the fall and winter here are not as cold as in Spain or Europe, there are some colder days, but with a sweatshirt and a jacket everything is solved.

As some of you may know my friend Maja, also blogger, just arrived here and she is staying with me these days so you will see her in my photos and videos this coming weeks. This is what I like most about my life, to travel and to meet my friends all over the world, friends are the family we choose!

LA diary: Malibu

¡Buenos días, Lunes!

Malibu es otro de los lugares que visité la semana pasada con mi hermana (que ya está de vuelta en España por su trabajo, qué pena).

Es como la zona más rica, donde viven muchos famosos y celebrities, entre otros Alessandra Ambrosio o las Kardashian que viven en la urbanización “Calabasas”.

Ya sabéis que me encanta ser sincera siempre con vosotros, así que he de decir que esta playa es la prolongación de la playa de Santa Mónica, y de hecho es bastante más estrecha en esta zona. Evidentemente es un lugar de obligatoria visita pero es muy difícil acceder a la playa ya que sólo tienen acceso casas privadas o restaurantes y hoteles privados. Hay zonas abiertas al público pero son muy pequeñas y no hay nada alrededor.

Nosotras decidimos pasear por el muelle que esto sí que me encantó, y conocer los puestecitos orgánicos que había. Es una gozada sentarse en estos bancos a mirar el mar, realmente estoy mucho más tranquila, feliz y relajada estos días… Creo que estoy ganando días de vida hehe.

Para comer escogimos el restaurante Carbon beach club que estaba en primera línea de playa y que seguramente ya habéis visto en mis fotos y vídeos. Impresionante la verdad, poder comer frente al mar casi en el agua literalmente con vistas a este bonito pier.

Para este día escogí un look muy cómodo y casual, de mi estilo, con leggings negros, camiseta blanca, camisa oversize de rayas por encima y mis nuevos botines negros de charol con pequeñas tachuelas que me encantan por lo cómodos que son, muy modernos y además porque combinan con todo. Son de la marca Deichmann que es uno de mis últimos descubrimientos ya que los zapatos son comodísimos y además a un precio muy asequible.

Algo que me encanta de los americanos es la intensidad y emoción con la que viven todo. ¡Son muy “yo”! hehe, por eso por todas partes se ven ya los adornos de Halloween y las calabazas naranjas que estoy deseando enseñaros en una granja que voy a visitar.

¡Feliz semana a todos! Y recordad la enseñanza para esta semana de la fantástica misa a la que acudí ayer en Santa Mónica: nunca tires la toalla y no llames una vez a la puerta, ¡llama mil! hasta que te abran…

Morning, Monday!

Malibu is one of the places that I also visited last week with my sister (now she has already come back to work in Spain, so sad for that).

This is the richest area, where many famous and celebrities live there, such as Alessandra Ambrosio or the Kardashians, they live in “Calabasas” neighbourhood.

You know that I always want to be honest with you, so I have to say that this beach is an extension of Santa Monica beach, and is in fact quite small in this area. Obviously it is a must visit place but it is very difficult to access the beach and only private homes or restaurants and hotels they have direct access to the beach. It is a small one open to the public but there is nothing around… so to me it’s better Santa Monica.

We decided to walk along the pier that really impressed me, and we discovered the new organic lifestyle that they have here. It is a dream come true to sit on these benches and just look at the sea, I’m really much calm down, happy and relaxed these days here… I think I’m winning days of life hehe.

We chose to eat at Carbon beach club restaurant by the seaside and you probably already have seen it on my photos and videos. Impressive to can eat sitting in front of the sea with this beautiful pier in the background.

To this day I chose a very comfortable casual look, very my style, with black leggings, white t-shirt, oversize striped shirt over and my new black patent leather booties with small silver studs that I love because they are really trendy, comfortable and I can combine them with all. I love this new brand, Deichmann, as all the shoes are super comfy and super cheap.

Something I love about America is the intensity and emotion that they live everything. They are very “me”! hehe. For example the other day at the Stadium was amazing the great support to the Dodgers. Now they are already getting ready for Halloween with all these pumpkins and decoration all around, and I can’t wait to show you a pumpkins farm that I’m going to visit this coming days.

So happy week everyone! And remember the lesson for this week that they gave me yesterday at the amazing mass in Santa Monica: never give up and do not call once to the door, call a thousand times! until they open it…

LA diary: Beverly Hills

¡Cómo cunden los días cuando estás de viaje! Y mucho más en una ciudad como Los Ángeles…

El otro día nos dio tiempo de hacer todo lo que veis en estas fotos y que os voy a contar.

Uno de los centros comerciales más conocidos de LA es The Grove donde podéis encontrar de todo: tiendas de ropa, de maquillaje, de deporte, de comida, tienda Apple cómo no, incluso un tranvía antiguo que a mi me fascinó y que podéis ver en las fotos. Es un centro comercial precioso al aire libre con fuentes y puentes ideales por todas partes y donde también está el Farmer’s Market, otro sitio de obligatoria visita que se parece al Mercado de San Miguel de Madrid.

Después de pasar aquí la mañana nos dirigimos a comer a uno de los restaurantes que os recomiendo de Beverly Hills: Georgie. Os lo aconsejo porque aparte de que la comida está buenísima está ubicado dentro de uno de los hoteles más bonitos de esta zona: el hotel Montagne. Además conocimos a una española encantadora, Angie, que ya se ha convertido en mi nueva amiga de por aquí hehe (yo y mi afán de hacer amigos por todas partes).

Ya por la tarde y aprovechando los últimos rayos de sol decidimos ir a conocer el vecindario y las típicas casitas, o mejor dicho “casoplones” americanos. Es cierto que aunque aquí comienzan los días antes, sobre las 7 de la mañana ya todo el mundo está en pie, también a las 7 u 8 de la tarde todo el mundo está en casa, y eso siendo española no me gusta nada haha. ¡Que aburrimiento meterme tan pronto en casa!

Este vestido es de mis favoritos que me he traído a este viaje y además es comodísimo. Es un vestido negro de tirantes con otra capa de gasa por encima con detalles de encaje en los bordes.

El lunes os seguiré contando más aventuras americanas… aunque no os perdáis mi Stories estos días porque va a ser un finde movidito hehe.

Time really flies when you’re traveling! And much more in a city like Los Angeles…

The other day we had time to do everything that you can see in these pictures and I will tell you with more details.

One of the most famed shopping centres in LA is The Grove where you can find everything: clothes, makeup, sports, food, Apple Store of course, even an old tram that really fascinated me and you can see it in the pictures. It is a lovely outdoor mall with amazing fountains and bridges everywhere and where there is also the Farmer’s Market, another must visit place that it’s similar to San Miguel’s Market in Madrid.

After spending the morning here we went to eat at one of the restaurants that I recommend you in Beverly Hills: Georgie’s. I recommend you to go because apart from that the food is very good it is located within one of the nicest hotels in the area: the Montagne hotel. We also met a lovely Spanish girl, Angie, and she has already become my new friend here hehe (me and my passion to make new friends everywhere).

In the afternoon and taking advantage of the last rays of sun we decided to discover a little bit more the neighborhood and the typical houses, or rather american “huge houses”. It is true that here the day begins before than in Spain, around 7 am everyone is wakeing up, but also at 7 or 8pm everyone is at home, and that, being Spanish, I do not like at all haha. I feel so bored going home so early!

This dress is my favourite one that I have brought to this trip and it is extremely comfortable. It is a black nighty with another chiffon top over with lace details at the edges. Just love it!

On Monday I will continue telling you more about my American adventures… but do not miss my Stories these days because it’s gonna be a non stop weekend!

LA diary: SM pier

“Puede que yo no sea muy listo, pero si sé lo que es el amor”, Forrest Gump.

Me encanta esta frase. Verdad verdadera. No todos los listos saben lo que es el amor, y no por ser menos listo no se tiene por qué desconocer. El amor es algo que no se controla, no se razona, no se analiza ni se calcula. Simplemente te dejas llevar y precisamente ahí radica su magia. El amor no atiende a la razón sino al corazón.

Y qué mítico Forrest Gump. ¿Quién no ha repetido alguna vez ese “corre Forrest, corre!” con algún amigo? Seguro que todos, como yo.

Me hace especial ilusión encontrarme este conocido restaurante, Bubba Gump, allá donde voy (ya me visteis en el de Nueva York) que se fundó unos años después de la película en honor a Forrest Gump y a su mejor amigo Bubba. Además este está ubicado en medio de la playa de Santa Monica, en el pier, así que es una zona de obligatoria visita.

Hemos paseado por aquí varios días, tanto por el día como por la noche ya que está siempre muy animado y me gusta sentarme a observar el mar y a la gente con algún batido o smoothie como en este caso que estoy tomando uno de fresas y plátano.

Y aprovechando el buen tiempo que todavía tenemos por aquí opté esta vez por unos shorts vaqueros negros y por ponerme mi camisa de flores que ha diseñado mi amiga italiana Flaminia y que no me puede gustar más por le bonito estampado de flores rosas y negras. Por eso decidí combinarla con bailarinas negras y bolso de piel también en tono rosado.

¡Por cierto! Feliz día de la Hispanidad! Que aunque estemos aquí también lo hemos celebrado.

“I may not be smart, but I know what love is”, Forrest Gump.

I love this quote. True story. Not all smartest people know what love is, and not all who are less clever ignore it. Love is something that we can not control, we can’t calculated it, analyse it or measure it. You just let yourself go and precisely that’s the real magic. Love will not listen to reason but to the heart.

And what legendary Forrest Gump is. Who has not ever said that quote: “run Forrest, run!” with a friend? I’m pretty sure that you have said it as well as me.

It makes me especially happy to find this popular restaurant, Bubba Gump, wherever I go (you already saw me at the New York one) which was founded a few years after the movie in honor of Forrest Gump and his best friend, Bubba. Furthermore, this one is located in the middle of the beach of Santa Monica, in the pier, so it is a must visit place.

We walked through here many days, both day and night as it is always very lively and I like to sit here and watch the sea and people with a shake or smoothie as in this case. I’m drinking one of my favourites: strawberries with bananas.

And taking advantage of the good weather we still have here I opted this time for black shorts and I put on my new floral shirt designed by my Italian friend Flaminia and I loved it for the print with flowers in pink and black. So I decided to combine it with my black leather ballerinas and my leather shoulder bag also in pink.

By the way! Happy Spanish Day to all my Spanish people! Even being here we have celebrated it of course.

LA diary: Santa Monica

Sí sí, este va a ser mi vecindario para todo este mes que voy a pasar aquí en Los Ángeles… no está mal ¿no? hehe.

He decidido tener “la base” en Santa Mónica porque como os comentaba ayer en el primer post de mis diarios de LA prefiero levantarme en esta zona que es más tranquila, poder salir a correr y hacer algo de deporte, pasear por la playa, etc. y luego ya moverme a las reuniones, eventos, shootings, etc. desde aquí. Estoy muy contenta de comenzar estos nuevos proyectos que os iré contando y enseñando pero también quiero aprovechar este tiempo para poder analizar y centrarme en otros aspectos de mi vida que tenía un poco olvidados. Quiero pensar un poco más en mí y en lo que realmente me hace feliz, que a veces nos perdemos un poco por el camino y nunca viene mal pararse a pensar y reencontrarse a uno mismo.

Una de las cosas a las que más me estoy acostumbrando y desde luego me sienta genial es a los paseos por la tarde que estoy dando con mi hermana por el paseo marítimo al lado del mar. Me encanta disfrutar de estos momentos en los que compartimos confidencias, nos reímos, y, por un rato, nos olvidamos y desconectamos del mundo.

Tenía ganas ya de estrenar por fin este vestido que os enseñé en mi último vídeo “haul de ropa” y por fin he encontrado la ocasión perfecta con este buen tiempo de por aquí. Es ajustado pero no demasiado, de manga larga y en color verde militar que es plena tendencia esta temporada. Lo he combinado con un cinturón atado a la cintura que siempre es un accesorio llamativo y mis nuevos botines de ante en color rosa palo que me encantan por lo cómodos que son al tener tacón ancho, también porque son peeptoe y además porque el tacón transparente me parece de lo más cool y trendy. ¿Qué os parece el look completo?

Me voy a dormir que hoy ha sido otro día sin parar por aquí y ya se me cierran los ojitos…

Yes I do admit it, this is gonna be my neighborhood for all this month that I will spend here in Los Angeles… not bad at all, hehe.

I have decided to be based here in Santa Monica because as I said yesterday in the first post of my LA diaries I’d rather prefer to get up in this area which is quiet and more calm to go jogging and practice some sport, walk along the beach, etc. than living in the middle of the caos of LA. Then I can move to meetings, events, shootings, etc. from here. I am very happy to start these new projects here in California that I’ll be showing and telling you but I also want to take this time to analyze and focus on other aspects of my life that I had forgotten. I want to think and also focus on myself and what really makes me happy, because sometimes we lose ourselves along the way and it never hurts anyone to stop and think and rediscover oneself.

One of the things that I have get used to very quickly is to these amazing afternoon walks with my sister by the seaside. I love to enjoy these moments where we share confidences, we laugh, and for a while, we forget and disconnect from the rest of the world.

Finally I have been waiting to wear for the first time this dress that I showed you in my last “clothing haul” video on my tv channel and I’ve finally found the perfect occasion with this good weather here. It is not so skinny and has long sleeves in military green color which is very trendy this season. I have combined it with a belt tied at the waist, always a striking accessory and my new suede boots in soft pink that I love because they are so comfortable, they have wide heel, also they are peeptoe and because the transparent heel is super cool and trendy too. What do you think about this complete look?

I’m going to sleep now because today has been another non stop day and my eyes are almost closed…

LA diary: Venice Beach

¡Buenos días (o buenas noches) familia!

Y digo buenas noches porque para mí son exactamente las 21h de la noche en el otro lado del charco… pero según lo que os propuse y por las respuestas que he leído al final creo que es mejor para todos que publique los posts por las noches de aquí y así los podáis tener listos por la mañana allí.

Primer post de mi diario que iré realizando cada día desde la Costa Oeste…

¡Y cómo me gusta Los Ángeles! Tenía miedo de que me fuese a decepcionar un poco porque la verdad es que me habían comentado que no es como parece, que es más bien feo y no tan animado, pero nuestra primera parada que ha sido en Santa Mónica y Venice Beach, no nos ha defraudado.

Hemos pasado los dos primeros días en un hotel frente a la playa de Santa Mónica, al lado del famoso ‘pier’ o muelle y a 15/20 minutos andando de Venice Beach, por lo que el primer día decidimos acercarnos paseando a desayunar por esta zona y tomar estas bonitas fotos.

Me encanta que en esta ciudad el Otoño se vive diferente. Por las noches tienes que ponerte algo de manga larga al estar al lado del mar, pero por el día con una camiseta o vestido puedes ir perfecto. Además algo a lo que me adaptado antes de lo que pensaba es a su ritmo más lento y “buenrollero” que el nuestro. Todo el mundo está de buen humor, se paran a hablar contigo, la mayoría hablan español por cierto, hay mucha seguridad que también es algo importante hoy en día pero sobre todo viven la vida de una forma mucho más tranquila que los europeos. No van con carreras, gritando, con caras largas, etc. todo el día. Esto no quiere decir que no trabajen igual, pero me encanta que tengan una actitud más positiva y alegre. ¡Esto es muy “yo”! hehehe y también puede ser motivado por vivir siempre con días tan soleados y con tan buen tiempo.

Os dejo con estas primeras fotos en algunas de las calles de Venice Beach, con las míticas palmeras por todas partes, y os recomiendo para ir a tomar el brunch el Candle Cafe & Grill en pleno paseo marítimo.

Good morning (or goodnight) family!

And I say goodnight because for me it is exactly 21h at night on the other side of the sea… but based on what I proposed to you yesterday and looking at all the answers I’ve read I think that it’s better for everyone that I publish all the posts during my nights here and so you can read them in your mornings there.

First post from my LA diary that I’ll doing every day from the West Coast…

And how much I like Los Angeles! I was afraid to be disappointed because I was said that it is not as it seems, it is rather ugly and not so “live”, but our first stop was in Santa Monica and Venice Beach, and we really have enjoyed our time there.

We spent the first two days at a beachfront hotel in Santa Monica, next to the worldwide famous ‘pier’ and 15/20 minutes walking from Venice Beach, so we decided to stroll around the first day to have breakfast in this area and we took all these beautiful pictures.

I love that in this city the Autumn is completely different compared to Europe. At night you have to put some long sleeve clothes because of the sea breeze but during the day with a t-shirt or a dress you can be perfect. In addition to this something that I really like is its slowest and “good vibes” style. Everyone is in a good mood, they stop to talk to you, many of them speak Spanish by the way, there is a lot of security which is also something important nowadays but mostly they live life in a much quieter way Europeans. They are not going late or running every day, screaming, with bad faces, etc. This does not mean they do not work the same, but I love how they have a more positive and cheerful attitude. This is very “me”! Hehehe and it could also be motivated for the super sunny days here every day and the amazing weather all year long.
