¡Hola chicos!

Hoy os presento mi vecindario americano, y mi casita. Ahora mismo vivo en la zona de West Hollywood, que es de mis favoritas de aquí porque estoy cerca de mis amigos, de los lugares que más me gustan, puedo ir en bici a casi todas partes y además es una zona muy tranquila y segura. De hecho esta es mi “calle” que es una pequeña calle peatonal donde no pueden entrar coches. Me encanta este barrio.

Me habéis preguntado muchos por la canción que iba cantando hoy en el coche. Se llama Ventanilla, de Chukky. La verdad es que no me puedo imaginar mi vida sin música. No se si yo encuentro a las canciones o son ellas las que me encuentran a mí, pero lo cierto es que me siento muy identificada con canciones de este tipo que reflejan situaciones que todos hemos vivido.

Me gusta la frase “que lo que no te mate te vuelva más fuerte pero nunca más malo”. Y no puedo estar más de acuerdo. Yo no tropiezo una vez en la misma piedra, tropiezo mil. ¿Y qué? Son experiencias que voy añadiendo a mi vida y además, tengo un defecto (o virtud) y es que siempre me acuerdo de las cosas buenas, de los momentos bonitos y felices. Olvido rápidamente lo malo para hacer hueco a nuevos y buenos momentos y personas. Mucha gente piensa que esto es malo porque no tienes amor propio… Yo sin embargo pienso que es algo muy bueno porque no tengo rencor. En muchas ocasiones cuando nos pasan cosas “malas” nos refugiamos creándonos una coraza o pagándolo con los demás, pero esa no es la solución. Y bien claro lo dice esta frase. Lo importante de la vida es que superemos los baches pero que salgamos reforzados, no que nos convirtamos en peores personas. Al menos ese es mi objetivo porque eso es lo que me hace irme a dormir cada noche con la conciencia tranquila.

De nuevo he vuelto a escoger un look muy cómodo con leggings de cuero negros, zapatillas negras, sudadera gris y cazadora de cuero.

Disfrutad de la vida y de cada momento con cada persona que conozcáis porque eso es lo que nos sumará y llenará al final.

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to show you my American neighborhood, and my home here. Right now I live in the area of West Hollywood, which is my favorite because I am close to my friends, the places I like most, I can go by bike almost everywhere and it is also a very quiet and safe area. In fact this is my “street” which is a small pedestrian street where cars can not enter. I do love this neighborhood.

You asked me a lot about the song I was singing today in the car with my friend Edu. It’s called Ventanilla, from Chukky. The truth is that I can not imagine my life without music. I do not know if I find the songs or they find me, but the truth is that I feel very identified with lyrics of this kind that reflect real situations that we all have lived.

I like the sentence “what does not kill you makes you stronger but never more bad”. And I can not agree more with it. I do not stumble once in the same stone, I stumble a thousand times. So what? They all are experiences that I add to my life and also, I have a defect (or virtue) and is that I always remember the good things, the beautiful and happy moments. I quickly forget the bad memories to make space for new and good times and people. Many people think this is bad because you have to love more yourself… And that’s true, but I still think it’s a good thing because I do not have bad blood. In many occasions when “bad” things happen to us, we refuge ourselves by creating an inner armour or paying it with others, but that is not the solution. And this sentence says it clearly. The important thing in life is that we overcome the bumps but that we are reinforced, not that we become worse people. At least that’s my goal because that’s what makes me go to sleep every night with a clear mind.

Again I have chosen a very comfortable look with black leather leggings, black sneakers, gray sweatshirt and leather jacket.

Enjoy life and every moment with each person you know because that is what will add value to your life in the end.

¡BUENOS DÍAS FAMILIA!

¡Y BIENVENIDOS A MI NUEVO BLOG!

Por fin puedo publicar nuevo post desde mi nueva url. Simplemente ha cambiado el dominio de it-girl a mi nombre personal, Marta Carriedo. Muchas gracias por todos vuestros comentarios y mensajes de apoyo a raíz de mi último post, me alegra que os guste el cambio y yo también pienso que en la evolución está el éxito.

De hecho muchas veces nos quedamos anclados a cosas o personas del pasado, que nos atan, que nos cortan las alas o no nos dejan avanzar, cuando eso lo único que va a hacer es que no seamos felices a largo plazo. Todo pasa por algo y como os he dicho mil veces de lo malo aprenderemos para no cometer los mismos errores y nos quedamos para siempre con lo bueno.

Sigo enseñandoos y contandoos mi vida en Los Angeles. Básicamente y debido al cambio horario, lo que suelo hacer es levantarme muy pronto, sobre las 7am, contestar mails, editar fotos y vídeos, preparar posts, ir a reuniones, y ya sobre las 14h me voy con mis amigos a alguna playa o a tomar algo.

En este caso me fui a pasar el día a la zona de Manhattan Beach con mi amigo Edu, que está como a una hora de Los Angeles. Aunque hace un poco de viento en las zonas de playa las temperaturas son perfectas, unos 16-20 grados por el día. Además algo que me encanta de mi vida americana es que me vuelvo mucho más sana aquí que en Madrid. Casi nadie fuma por ejemplo. Es algo que me sorprende muchísimo y que me encanta por supuesto. También está mucho más de moda un estilo de vida más saludable y sencillo, y con esto englobo todos los aspectos. Es la ciudad donde más centros de yoga he visto, y estoy deseando enseñaros el mío uno de estos días. Además sabéis que voy a boxeo y aparte estoy comiendo mucho más sano introduciendo más ensaladas y verduras en mi día a día. Por otra parte la forma de vestir es mucho más casual y básica y muchas veces unos simples leggings y una sudadera como los que llevo hoy, te sirven para el día a día. A mí me encanta poder ir en deportivas todo el día, ya sea con jeans, leggings, faldas, shorts…

AND WELCOME TO MY NEW BLOG!

Finally I can share today a new post from my new url. I Just changed the domain of it-girl to my personal name, Marta Carriedo. Thank you very much for all your comments and supporting messages according to my last post where I told you this, I’m glad that you like the change and I also think that in evolution there is always success.

In fact many times we are anchored to things or people of the past, who bind us, who cut our wings or do not let us keep on going, but in the end that is only going to make us unhappy forever. Everything happens for a reason and as I have told you a thousand times from bad things or experiences we will learn to not make the same mistake again and we will just keep the good things and people.

I continue showing you and telling you my life in Los Angeles. Basically and due to the different in time, what I usually do is to get up very early, around 7am, answer mails, edit photos and videos, prepare posts, go to some meetings, and about 2pm I go with my friends to a beach or to have some drinks.

In this case I went to spend the day in the area of Manhattan Beach with my friend Edu, which is about an hour by car from Los Angeles. Although it is still a bit windy in the beach areas the temperatures are perfect, about 16-20 degrees during the day. Also something that I love about my American life is that I become much healthier here than in Madrid. Almost no one smokes here, for example. It is something that surprises me a lot and I love of course. A healthier and simple lifestyle is also something super trendy here, and I mean it in all the aspects. It is the city where most yoga centers I have ever seen, and I look forward to show you mine one of these days. Besides you know that I’m going to boxing classes and apart from that I’m eating much healthier introducing more salads and vegetables in my day a day. On the other hand the way of dressing is much more casual and basic and many times with a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt like the ones I’m wearing today, you can go perfect for your day a day. I love being able to go in my sneakers all day long, whether with jeans, leggings, skirts, shorts…

¡Buenos días familia!

¿Cómo ha ido el finde? El mío un poco pasado por agua… parece que la ola de frío Europea ha llegado también hasta California. Parecía realmente que era el diluvio universal sobre todo porque esta ciudad no está preparada para tantas lluvias… pero bueno, parece que empieza a mejorar desde mañana.

El otro día decidí pasear con mi amigo Chema por una de mis zonas favoritas de Los Ángeles, Melrose Avenue. Es una de las calles principales más bonitas donde se pueden hacer fotos preciosas en cada esquina. Está llena de cafés, restaurantes, tiendas… me encanta. Este café con el que comienzo el post se encuentra situado justo en frente de la pared rosa de Paul Smith, así que siempre suelo pararme a tomar algo. Muy cerca están Alfred Coffee y Alffred Tea Room, los sitios más chulos para tomar un café o té y hacerse fotos en sus originales locales. Por último terminé recorriendo la zona de “tiendas caras” como Chloe, pero esta vez no me compré nada no, haha, que ya es bastante cara la vida aquí.

Llevo un look muy cómodo y sencillo con pantalones negros, camisa blanca, zapatillas y chaqueta de lana con print de leopardo. Es muy estilo americano, y me encanta ese “effortless” que se lleva tanto aquí. Y lo que me gusta aún más es poder vivir todo el día en zapatillas.

Antes de terminar os quiero dar una súper buena noticia: desde hoy el dominio pasa de ser martacarriedo.com a martacarriedo.com. Todo en la vida va evolucionando, al menos es lo que yo intento. Me encanta que mi vida esté llena de cambios y de cosas inesperadas, sobre todo si son para mejor. Por eso he decidido cambiar el nombre del blog a ni nombre personal, pero si os seguís metiendo en la otra url seguiréis pudiendo leer el blog ya que estará redireccionado. Es una decisión que llevo pensando y meditando desde hace tiempo y es lo que más me apetece hacer ahora mismo ya que todo lo que os cuento por aquí lo hago yo misma, todo, Marta Carriedo, y lo veo algo más personal.

¿Qué os parece a vosotros? Porfi necesito saber vuestra opinión ya que es muy importante para mí… ¡gracias!

Good morning family!

How was your weekend? Mine has been raining after raining… lol. It seems that the European cold wave has also reached California. It really looked like it was the universal flood above all because this city is not ready for so many rains… but hey, it seems that the weather will be getting better since tomorrow.

The other day I decided to walk with my friend Chema around one of my favorite streets in Los Angeles, Melrose Avenue. It is one of the most beautiful main streets where you can take beautiful photos in every corner. It is full of cafes, restaurants, shops… I do love it. This coffee I’m starting with is located right in front of Paul Smith’s pink wall, so I always stop by to have a drink. Nearby are Alfred Coffee and Alffred Tea Room, the coolest places to have coffee or tea and take pictures in their original background and walls. Finally I ended up walking around the “expensive stores” area like Chloe, but this time I did not buy anything, haha, it’s already quite expensive life here.

I was wearing a very comfortable and simple look with black ripped jeans, white shirt, slippers and a wool jacket with leopard print. It’s very American-style, and I love that effortless style that its super trendy here right now. And what I like even more is being able to live all day in my sneakers.

Before finishing today’s post I want to give you some good news: from today on the domain of my blog will change from being martacarriedo.com to martacarriedo.com. I think everything in life is evolution, at least is what I try to do. I love that my life is full of changes and unexpected things, especially if they are for the better. That’s why I decided to change the name of the blog to my personal name, but if you continue to get into the other url you can continue reading the blog as it will be redirected. It’s a decision that I’ve been thinking and meditating for a long time and it’s what I feel like doing right now, because everything I tell you and show you here I do it by myself, everything, Marta Carriedo, and I find it like something more personal.

LACMA, LA

LACMA, Museo de Arte. Los Ángeles, California.

La verdad es que en esta ciudad por muchas veces que la hayas visitado o por mucho tiempo que lleves viviendo en ella, siempre siempre hay rincones por descubrir que te acaban sorprendiendo.

Hasta ahora no había tenido tiempo nunca de sentarme tranquilamente a disfrutar del bonito entorno del Museo de Arte LACMA de esta ciudad. Estas farolas son típicas y todos los que hemos pasado por LA tenemos alguna foto en ellas, pero si encima te toca un día perfecto de calor con cielo azul, el resultado son unas fotos tan bonitas como estas.

Hoy mi amigo Chema y yo, hemos cogido nuestras bicis (me encanta poder ir en bici de un sitio a otro) y nos hemos recorrido algunas calles de nuestra zona hasta llegar a este punto tan turístico. Y he de decir que hemos tenido bastante suerte ya que en estas fotos no he tenido que “apartar educadamente” a la gente, hahaha, porque no se si ha sido por la hora o porque era jueves pero no había mucha gente en este momento. Me encanta seguir descubriendo y disfrutando de esta ciudad y poder enseñaros y contaros todo por aquí.

Y he escogido un look my cómodo con jeans de estilo boyfriend, jersey oversize en rosa palo y botines en el mismo color que no, no he llevado para montar en bici, llevaba unas deportivas en la cesta.

¿Cómo se presenta vuestro finde? Espero que os estéis abrigando bien contra la ola de frío en Europa…

LACMA, Los Angeles Country Museum of Art. Los Angeles, California.

The truth is that in this city,for many times that you have visited it or many years that you have been living in here, there are always hidden corners to discover that will surprise you.

Until now I had never had time to sit for a moment and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the LACMA Museum of Art of this city. These streetlights are very typical and all of us who have passed through LA have a photo in front of them, but if you are lucky enough to have a perfect day of warmth with a blue sky, the result will be some photos as beautiful as these ones.

Today my friend Chema and I, have taken our bikes (I love to be able to go by bike from one place to another here) and we have gone to some streets around our neighbourhood until arriving at this tourist point. And I have to say that we have been very lucky because in these photos I have not had to “politely remove” people from the back, hahaha, because I do not know if it was for the time of the day or because it was Thursday but there were not many people at this moment. I love to continue discovering and enjoying this city and to be able to show you and tell you everything here.

And I have chosen a comfortable look with boyfriend style jeans, oversize jersey in pale pink and booties in the same color and no, I have not worn them to ride my bike, I was wearing sneakers in the basket.

Street art

Una de las cosas más representativas de Los Ángeles donde todos los turistas acuden a hacerse fotos son sus calles y paredes llenas de arte callejero.

Siempre me ha parecido increíble cómo se pueden dibujar este tipo de graffitis con un simple spry y sin tener debajo un boceto ni nada. Simplemente a mano alzada. Esto sí que es arte.

La calle más conocida donde encontrar estas paredes y muros es Melrose Avenue. El muro rosa de Paul Smith, las míticas alas, la frase “Made in LA”… Además también es una de mis calles favoritas porque aparte de encontrarse las marcas más conocidas de lujo también tiene pequeñas marcas locales donde se pueden encontrar piezas vintage tanto de ropa como de decoración, me encanta.

Y la frase de esta pared tiene miga… “De la suciedad una flor debe crecer”. Evidentemente cada uno puede interpretarlo como quiera, sólo el autor sabe el verdadero motivo. Yo lo interpreto como que siempre que nos pasa algo en la vida, sea bueno o malo, es por algo. De lo bueno nos quedaremos con el recuerdo para siempre. De lo malo aprenderemos e intentaremos no cometer los mismos errores. Pero de lo que estoy segura es de que hasta en las cosas más “feas” o en las personas más “malas” siempre hay una parte bonita, bella, positiva; aunque a veces cueste encontrarla.

El tiempo aquí sigue un poco loco… como todos. Tenemos días de calor con días de más frío, pero en esta ocasión brilló un sol radiante todo el día por lo que aproveché para ponerme una falda corta vaquera con camiseta de rayas y cazadora de cuero por encima. Aún no me atrevo a salir sin medias por el blanquecino color de mi piel por lo tanto escogí mis medias de rejilla y el toque de color vino con mi bolso rojo con detalles en plata, uno de mis favoritos de color.

Mi primer día de reuniones ha ido genial así que estoy muy contenta y me voy a la cama muy satisfecha. Además he tenido la gran suerte de poder conocer a una de mis actrices favoritas en persona,Kelly Rutherford, mujer elegante donde las haya y poder charlar con ella un rato. Encantadora y aún más guapa en persona.

One of the most representative things in Los Angeles where all the tourists go to take pictures are its streets and walls full of street art.

It has always seemed incredible to me how can anyone draw this kind of graffitis with a simple spry and without any sketch or a draw under. Just freehand. This is real art.

The most well known street to find these walls and paints is Melrose Avenue. The pink wall from Paul Smith brand, the worldwide known wings, the quote “Made in LA” and so… Furthermore it is also one of my favorite streets because apart from finding the best luxury brands it also has small local brands and stores where you can find vintage pieces for both, clothes and decoration, I love it.

And the quote on this wall says it all… “From the dirt a flower must grow”. Obviously everyone can interpret it as they want, only the author knows the real reason and meaning. I interpret it like whenever something happens to us in our life, whether good or bad, it is for something. Everything happens for a reason, you know. Good things will stay in our memory forever. From bad things we will learn and we will try to not make the same mistakes again. But what I’m pretty sure of is that even the most “ugly” things or the “bad” people have always a beautiful side, a positive part; although sometimes it is really difficult to find…

The weather here is still a bit crazy… like all of us lol. We have hot days with colder days, but this day sun shined bright all day so I took advantage of it and I wore a short black denim skirt with a striped t-shirt on top and my new leather jacket with patches over. I still do not want to show my whitish legs so I was wearing my squared tights and the touch of color came with my red bag with details in silver, my favourite one in this color.

My first day of meetings has gone great so I am very happy and I go to bed very satisfied. Besides, I’ve been lucky enough to meet one of my favourite actresses in person, Kelly Rutherford, an elegant woman that I have had the opportunity to catch up with. Charming and even more beautiful in person.

¡Buenos días familia!

Y buenos días de Lunes… O “blue Monday” como lo llaman algunos. Aparte de ser lunes, comienzo de una nueva semana, se dice que es el pero lunes del año. Es el más frío, el que menos dinero tenemos después de las navidades, en el que más tristes estamos… no se, a mí todas estas cosas por mucho que estén basadas en estudios reales me parecen un poco tontería. Yo no soy supersticiosa la verdad y pienso que todo en la vida es cuestión de la actitud que tengamos y de las ganas que pongamos, así que hagamos que sea un lunes lo más llevadero posible.

Yo, después de los 4 días que he tenido para recuperarme del jet lag y adaptarme a mi vida americana, comienzo una semana llena de reuniones, shootings, y firmas de contratos que espero poder contaros dentro de poco. ¡Deseadme suerte! Os iré contando todo lo que pueda a través de mi Stories.

Y primer post/look desde Los Angeles. Ya sabéis que no soy muy de vestir con estampados o colores muy llamativos, pero es cierto que el rosa clarito o pastel es un color que pienso que sienta bien a casi cualquier mujer. Escogí este abrigo cortito de pelo rosa y lo combiné con una camiseta en rosa palo. Debajo jeans ajustados, hoy en gris (para todas las que me preguntáis tanto os recuerdo que es el modelo Jamie de Topshop que tengo en todos los colores y cortes). Y qué bien hice en meterme finalmente estos botines en la maleta porque el tacón ancho es perfecto para caminar además de ser súper cool de metacrilato y la punta abierta me parece un detalle divertido y diferente.

Estas fotos las hice en la zona donde vivo en Los Angeles. Vivo en la calle 3 al lado del centro comercial Grove en West Hollywood. Me gusta esta zona porque es la más céntrica y la que mejor ubicada está para poder ir caminando a todos lados y como veis está llena de las típicas casas americanas, me encanta.

¡Ánimo con el día! Recordad que podemos con todo porque querer es poder…

Good morning family!

And good morning Monday… Or “blue Monday” as some people call it. Apart from being Monday, beginning of a new working week, it is said that today is the worst Monday of the year. It is the coldest, the day we we have less money after Christmas, in which we are most sad… I do not know if all these things are true or not, however they are based on real studies, but to me it seems like a silly thing. Sincerely I am not a superstitious woman and I think that everything in life is a matter of attitude, so let’s make from this Monday a perfect working day and be as positive as possible.

After these last 4 days I’ve spent trying to recover from my jet lag and adapt to my American life, I start a new week full of meetings, shootings, and contract signatures that I hope to be able to tell you soon. Wish me luck! I will tell you everything I can through my Stories.

And first post/look from Los Angeles. You know that I don’t like to wear many prints or bright colors, I prefer basic clothes, but it is true that the soft pink or pastel pink is a color that I think that looks good almost on any woman. I chose this short fur coat in pink and I combined it with a pink t-shirt too, babe. I was wearing my high waisted skinny jeans, today in gray (for all of you who ask me so much about them I remind you that I use Jamie model from Topshop, I have them in all colors and designs). And I’m happy to finally put inside my luggage these soft pink suede boots because the wide heel is perfect for walking in addition being methacrylate is a super cool detail and the open peep toe seems a fun and different detail to me.

I took this photos in my neighbourhood where I live in Los Angeles. I live on 3rd Street next to the Grove Mall in West Hollywood. I like this area because it is the most central and is also the best located to be able to walk everywhere and as you can see is full of typical American houses, I love it.

Cuando realmente te sientes identificada con algo. Cuando conoces a gente que piensa y actúa como tú, que llevan tu misma forma de vida. Cuando una colección encaja perfectamente con tu estilo. Cuando dejas entrar en tu vida a personas que te suman, no que te restan. Cuando la única regla del juego es hacer las cosas bien, sin trampa ni cartón, sin engaños de por medio, sino con trabajo y esfuerzo diarios. Entonces la recompensa es siempre mucho mayor.

Esto es algo muy importante chicos. Ya está bastante mal el mundo como para rodearnos de un entorno negativo. A mí me gusta conocer a gente que sea positiva y que me aporte siempre algo bueno a mi vida. Y por supuesto también me gusta descubrir a marcas que tienen esta misma filosofía y enseñároslas.

Este es el shooting que hice en Los Angeles con la marca Ragdoll que como veis es una firma de ropa muy cuidada pero a la vez muy casual y sencilla, a mí simplemente me encanta. Al igual que me encanta Lisa su creadora que sale conmigo en la siguiente imagen, y que ya se ha convertido en una gran amiga.

When you really feel identified with something. When you meet people who think and act like you, they lead your same way of life. When a collection fits perfectly with your style. When you let people get into your life only to add, not to let you down. When the only rule of the game is to do things right, without cheating or lying, without cheats or tricks, but with daily work and effort. Then the reward is always so much greater.

This is something very important guys. The world is bad enough to surround ourselves with a negative environment. I like meeting people who are positive and always add something good to my life. And of course I also like to discover new brands that have this same philosophy and show them to you.

This is the shooting I had in Los Angeles with Ragdoll brand, which, as you can see, is a very casual and simple clothing brand, I just love it and feel super identified with this style. Just as I love Lisa, the creator and designer, who appears here with me in the next image, and who has already become a great friend.

Don’t you also think that the key is in simplicity? And it is not easy to create new collections of simple clothes but with pieces that haven’t yet been seen…

LA diary: last day

¡Hola, Lunes!

Todo llega a su fin para que nuevas aventuras vayan llegando… así que este es el último post que os enseño de mi viaje a Los Angeles, aunque os comento que vuelvo muy prontito… tengo muchas ganas de empezar a trabajar entre LA y Madrid y así poder enseñaros el doble de cosas. ¡El 2017 promete!

Tengo que reconocer que soy de las que piensa que si visualizas mucho una cosa… acaba pasando. No se si será por la energía que pongo en mis pensamientos/sueños/deseos pero siempre que he querido algo en la vida he luchado por conseguirlo. Y no se consigue todo… pero sí casi todo. Porque con esfuerzo, tiempo y sobre todo haciendo las cosas bien, creo que llegaremos a cualquier lado. Por eso, hoy quiero deciros que me siento muy orgullosa de ver hasta dónde he llegado y hasta dónde llegaré. Muchas veces hay decisiones que parecen una locura, la gente piensa que estás loco e incluso la mayoría se alejan… pero el tiempo, el gran sabio de nuestras vidas, acaba demostrando al final quién se equivocaba y quién no.

Estoy especialmente contenta porque este proyecto, mi empresa, el blog, mis redes sociales, mi canal… no dejan de crecer y la familia también. Ya tengo a una persona que me ayuda a diario con mails y trabajo que es algo que me ha caído creo que directamente del cielo, porque es justo lo que buscaba. Y esto hace que pueda tener finalmente vida y prestaros más atención con lo que me preguntáis en las redes sociales.

En fin, que me apetecía también contaros un poquito lo que hay detrás de cada post, de cada foto, de cada Stories, de cada vídeo… que es un equipo que dedica el día entero, su esfuerzo y trabajo a este proyecto. ¡Soy muy feliz! Y gracias a todos vosotros por formar parte de esta felicidad, por vuestro apoyo diario y sobre todo por no dejar que nunca me rinda.

¡A luchar por lo que queremos!

Hello, Monday!

Everything comes to an end so that new adventures can come in… so this is the last post I show you from my last trip to Los Angeles, although I tell you that I will be coming back very soon… I really want to start working between LA And Madrid so I can show you more things, brands, outfits and 2 different lifestyles, american and european. Can’t wait for 2017 and it’s new projects!

I have to admit that I am one of those who thinks that if you visualize something a lot… it just happens. I do not know if it will be because of the energy that I put into my thoughts/dreams/desires but whenever I have wanted something in my life I have struggled to achieve it. And I know that not everything is achieved… but almost everything. Because with effort, time and above all doing things right, I think we’ll get anywhere. That is why today I want to tell you that I am very proud to see how far I have come and how far I will go. Many times there are decisions that seem crazy, people think that you are crazy and even most of them go away from you… but time, the great “wise” of our lives, ends up showing us who was wrong and who was not.

I am especially happy because this project, my company, the blog, my social networks, my TV channel… do not stop growing up and my family too. I already have a person who helps me every day with mails and work that is someone that I think just has fallen directly from heaven to me, because she is just what I was looking for. And this makes me finally have a “normal” life and pay more attention to what you ask me through my social networks.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you a little bit what is behind each post, each photo, each stories, each video… that is a team that spend the whole day working and thinking in new things to keep on developing this project, my personal project. I am very happy! And thanks to all of you for being part of this happiness, for your daily support and above all for not letting me never give up.

LA diary: Venice Canals

Otro de los sitios con más encanto que he podido descubrir en Los Ángeles es Venice Beach, más concretamente esta zona de los canales.

Lo que má me gusta de conocer zonas nuevas es que me cuenten la historia que tiene detrás, y esta creo que os va a emocionar tanto como a mí.

Érase una vez un matrimonio felizmente casado. Él era un gran terrateniente, que poseía casi todas estas tierras. Su mujer estaba enferma con cáncer, y, según los médicos (que no siempre aciertan), su esperanza de vida era de menos de 6 meses. El sueño de ella era ir a visitar Venecia, “la bella Italia”, esa ciudad de canales y góndolas por doquier. Evidente y desgraciadamente no podía realizar un viaje tan largo debido a su enfermedad… Un buen día su marido, que lo único que buscaba era verla feliz, decidió aprovechar que vivían aquí al lado del mar, y empezó a construir estos bonitos canales imitando la conocida ciudad italiana.

Cuando me contaron esto se me pusieron los pelos de punta y ahora mismo se me siguen poniendo al contároslo a vosotros. ¡Qué historia tan bonita dentro de la tragedia de esta terrible enfermedad! No todas las historias tienen un final feliz pero lo que me gusta de cada una de ellas es que haya una parte real, de corazón, de amor puro y verdadero de una persona por otra… Eso es con lo que yo me quedo.

La enseñanza de hoy es que vivamos el momento y que amemos a los que nos rodean… antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

Another of the most charming places I have been able to discover in Los Angeles is Venice Beach, more specifically this area with the canals.

What I like most when discovering new places is when they have a lovely story behind and I really think that you are going to love today’s story as much as I did.

Once upon a time there was a happily married couple. He was a great landowner, who possessed almost all these lands (Venice Beach). His wife was ill with cancer, and according to doctors (who do not always have reason), her life expectancy was less than 6 months. Her dream was to visit Venice, “the beautiful Italy”, that city of canals and gondolas everywhere. Obviously and unfortunately she could not make such a long trip because of her illness… So one day her husband, who only wanted to see her happy, decided to take advantage that they lived here by the sea, and he started to build these beautiful canals like in the beautiful Italian city. True love.

When they told me this story, it was giving me the creeps and right now I’m feeling the same. What a beautiful story in the tragedy of this terrible illness! Not all stories have a happy ending but what I like about this one is that there is a reality, a heart, a pure and true love from one person to another… That’s the most important thing.

So today’s teaching is that we have to live the moment and to love all those who are around us NOW… before it is too late.

LA diary: pumpkins patch

¡Buenos días familia!

Después de más de 24h viajando, de retrasos y de rezar para tener todas mis maletas… ¡por fin estoy en Madrid! Aunque sólo por hoy… pero feliz de estar en casita al menos un día.

Eso sí, tengo muchas cosas y posts que se que seguís esperando de Los Ángeles así que los iré publicando a lo largo de esta semana.

Y hoy comenzamos con la celebración de Halloween allí. Me encanta cómo los americanos celebran todo, la fiesta que sea, por todo lo alto. Es cierto que detrás de ello se encuentra una excelente estrategia comercial, pero estos últimos días pocas han sido las modelos y celebrities que no han ido a un “pumpkins patch” a hacerte estas míticas fotos con las calabazas. Como no podía ser de otra forma Carlitos y yo tampoco quisimos perdernos esta experiencia.

Y os enseño el look completo que me puse, muy campero con shorts negros, camiseta básica y chaqueta de flecos por encima, y mis botas favoritas de plataforma por las que tanto me habéis preguntado. Good morning family!

After more than 24 hours traveling, delayed flights and praying for having all my luggage back in Spain… I’m finally in Madrid! Even if is only for one day… I’m super happy to be back in town and in my hose at least today.

Yes, I have many things and posts that I know you are waiting for from t Los Angeles so that I will keep on publishing them throughout this week.

And today I start the week with the celebration of Halloween there. I love how all Americans celebrate the feast that way, overhand. It is true that behind it is an excellent business strategy, but in my last days there there’s no celebrity model or influencer who haven’t shared a pic in a “Pumpkin Patch” to make these mythical photos with the orange pumpkins. Of course Carlitos and me either wanted to miss this new experience for us.

And I show you the complete look I wore, very countryside style with black shorts, white basic t-shirt and my fringed jacket on top with my favorite platform boots which many of you have asked me about.
